How to brew

Deer Hill was designed as an espresso but there is no reason why it won’t suit rich bodied filter or cafetiere.

As a rich espresso, we would probably start with a 17g dose (but whatever suits your machine best), and work on a 1:2.5 ratio, making a balanced espresso weighing about 42g. The Robusta in the blend should give you great body.

For filter, we recommend using 60g per litre of water. It’s the industry standard for a reason, delivering a rich balanced flavour with most coffees.

Tasting notes

Out of the long, strong, shadows gloam, steps the deer. Acorns break under hoof as she stands alert, bold and gentle, atop the forest loam.
